Before ads show up on The Darkroom, they’re reviewed to make sure they meet our Advertising Policies. Typically most ads are reviewed within 24 hours, although in some cases it may take longer as customer support prioritizes advertising requests.

 

Steps to Take if Disapproved

The Darkroom has three levels of membership. Our Gold members see limited advertising (approximately 30% less impressions) Our Platinum members do not see advertisements.

 

Not acceptable
  • Enticing users to engage with content under false or unclear pretenses
  • “Phishing” for users’ information
  • Promotion of content, products, or services using false, dishonest, or deceptive claims (e.g. “Get Rich Quick” schemes)
  • Impersonating The Darkroom products and/or services
  • Falsely implying having an affiliation with, or endorsement by, another individual, organization, product, or service
  • Directing content about politics, social issues, or matters of public concern to users in a country other than your own, if you misrepresent or conceal your country of origin or other material details about yourself

Multimedia Policy

The Darkroom only allows photo and text advertising. All other forms of media will be rejected.

Excessive text in ad images may result in your ad reaching fewer people or not running at all. Try to use little or no image text when possible.

For ads that feature the Darkroom, Nectar, Platinum brands, image, or likeness please get prior approval by submitting a Support Ticket.
